IVE MENDES TO PREMIERE NEW SONG “GRAÇAS A DEUS” AT THE SYMPHONY OF
MERCY IN KRAKOW
Krakow, Poland – February 2025 – Brazilian artist Ive Mendes, known for her refined
fusion of Bossa Nova, Smooth Jazz, and Soul, will give a special performance at the
Symphony of Mercy during Krakow’s Feast of Mercy celebrations. Mendes will premiere
“Graças a Deus,” a deeply spiritual song composed by Bartek Gliniak for Mendes to
perform. The event will take place on April 26, 2025, with Mendes sharing the stage with the
renowned Beethoven Academy Orchestra and artists from 16 countries, delivering a
powerful message of faith and unity.
The Symphony of Mercy is a monumental work combining music, prayer, and cultural
expression. It features orchestral performances, choirs, and recitations of words from the Diary of St. Faustina Kowalska. It also incorporates the Divine Mercy Chaplet throughout the liturgy. Broadcasts and telebridges will connect viewers worldwide from key sites in Tanzania, Brazil, the United States, Australia, and Rome, aiming to inspire peace and compassion in challenging times. “Performing ‘Graças a Deus’ at this extraordinary event is a profound honor,” said Mendes.
“It’s an opportunity to share a message of gratitude, healing, and faith with people across the globe. I am deeply moved to be part of this celebration of mercy and unity.” Upcoming Album “Presence” – An Invitation to Faith and Gratitude Though “Graças a Deus” was composed by Bartek Gliniak for Mendes to sing specifically for the Symphony of Mercy, the themes of faith and gratitude also shape Mendes’ upcoming album, “Presence,” scheduled for release in autumn 2025. The album reflects a journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth, with a focus on divine guidance and human connection. “‘Presence’ is my way of expressing gratitude for the gift of life and the importance of caring for ourselves and others. It’s an invitation to reflect on the guidance that connects and supports us all,” Mendes shared. The album will feature collaborations with guest artists, further emphasizing themes of unity and connection. A Unique Musical Journey Born in Ceres, Brazil, to a family of Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Indigenous Brazilian heritage, Ive Mendes began singing in church and studying piano in her youth. She earned a degree in music from the University of Goiania and transitioned from teaching to songwriting and performing. Her sophisticated blend of Brazilian rhythms and jazz has earned her a loyal following in Europe and beyond, particularly among those who appreciate smooth, intimate music experiences. Since the release of her debut album in 2002, Mendes has performed at select venues and festivals, with her album “Magnetism” achieving double platinum status in Poland. “Poland has always embraced my music with love and warmth,” said Mendes. “Performing
‘Graças a Deus’ at the Symphony of Mercy is my way of giving thanks for that support and for life’s many blessings.”
